As you’ve prob­a­bly guessed from the stag­nant web­site and halted emails, we’ve decided that the time has come to end Boxed City. It’s a deci­sion that we’ve been mulling over for a lit­tle while now, and it’s one that we believe makes the most sense.

It’s no secret that there’s no time of year that we here at Boxed City love more than Hal­loween. It’s the per­fect blend of par­ties, music, and unabashed weird­ness that makes going out Hal­loween week­end our favorite. So with­out fur­ther adieu, here are our favorite options for mak­ing the most out of your crazy, creepy weekend.

Filthy. And hilar­i­ous. What more could you ask for? Jim Nor­ton has been offend­ing peo­ple for a while now, and you’ve prob­a­bly seen him on any num­ber of Com­edy Cen­tral shows, most notably the Roasts. Now you can see him this week at the Funny Bone at Town Cen­ter, where the cen­sors can’t touch him.

If you’re into the music that we fea­ture here on a reg­u­lar basis, we’re sure you’re going to love the Fest that Bar None is putting together this week­end. Lots of our favorite local indie bands (plus some notable out-of-towners) will be play­ing Fri­day and Sat­ur­day, with ten bands in all grac­ing us with ter­rific live shows.
