The Flux Capac­ity Art Show, aka the “Mega Hot Vir­gin Prom Night Sac­ri­fice of the Dead” Art Show aims to keep Hal­loween going just a lit­tle longer. With tons of good local artists all under one roof at (where else?) Hells Kitchen, this should be a really cool show.

If you’ve been on it, you’ve noticed there’s a groundswell of local art tal­ent mak­ing rip­ples through Hamp­ton Roads. You won’t find this Juxtapoz-style, low­brow art in gal­leries — you’ll find it in smokey bars all over town. That is, until now.

Art shows are good; art shows with great music and char­ity auc­tions are even bet­ter. So file this week’s Rough Rid­ers show at the Boot in the “Even Bet­ter” cat­e­gory. With nearly twenty artists on show, and great music from Ced Hughes and oth­ers, it’s pretty much guar­an­teed to be a good time.
